Diablo III Fan Wallpaper

Since this forum does not have a post for this type of stuff yet i thought i'd start it up, and please dont lock it admins I will be posting off this post from here on so i wont spam the forums.
Will look better, cleaner, and more mdoerated. With that i'll stop my rambling, hope you all enjoy! One last thing, if anyone has wallpaper they want to post on here they have made, this will be the best place for you to do so! Thanks and enjoy the artwork! HK  |

 : S I Z E S : 2560x1600 - 1920x1200 - 1600x1200 Good Morning all, this week I had decided to revamp a little of my non fiery runes series wallpapers and give it a name; a rather bland generic name but it's a change from the concept art series. Also I created a nameplate for this series as well. It's a little different, and I experimented with it over 4 times. What you see is the end result, and I hope it's not too crazy and busy for a nameplate. This series I thought I'd start back at the beginning of the Diablo III scene with the cinematic trailer. I know blizzard did a screen of the demon invasion, but I thought I'd add my touch to it with some of my trademark touches. The Des-Systema in the background always seems appropriate for most of my non fiery runes wallpapers. The plain black background just never looks right anymore I don't know why. The idea for this wallpaper came also from a fan asking about a wallpaper of Diablo from this same trailer. Thought about making a newer version of it with better sizes, but that changed when I realized I hadn't done a demon invasion wallpaper yet. So what you see is an idea that I thought turned out rather nice. Also as a last note I have completed Behind the Fiery Runes section from the Diablowiki as well as Fiery Runes Series and will make revisions as time goes on. Looks nice but be advised that there are people with all kind if screen resolutions. The most common would be 1280*800 and 1440*900 and 1680*1050.
And there are those 1024*768 and 1280*1024 that are not widescreen but most people use screens in the said resolutions. And about the wallpaper. It is good in my opinion but not really something that I wold put as my desktop picture. It is imo relatively empty and the pictures themselves are rather uninteresting. I don't know it just doesn't appeal to me. ;) |

1680*1050 is quick becomming a new standard for screen resolutions and makes it harder for us to make good resolution wallpapers to fit the jimungus size.

believe it or not guys, that 1600x1200 wallpaper size, i use that wallpaper size on my monitor too, but i just do stretch or whatever, and it looks nice on my 1024x768 size. I use to do 6 different sizes, but realized that i wanted to keep the quality of my graphics high, rather than blurry and all that. Thats why my standard sizes are those 3 now. You can resize them all to fit other wallpaper sizes fine.
However I am open to wallpaper size suggestions, especially for those wierd sizes out there. Also thanks for the comments I havent gotten much constructive criticism, and ive learned making all these walls for that to be a real big help. Appreciate it guys every bit helps alot. HK |

If you want me opinion, it just isn't all that great.
The contrast is to low which makes it way to dark to see, the images aren't 'spitting' enough, thus there really is nothing about it that makes me gawk. And last but not least, I don't truly see the meaning of the wall paper. Is it supposed to be about the demons? about the army in the background? Who/what is it focusing on? I'm lost. I do however, see effort put into this wallpaper, but I think you need to stop and put some more into it as well as some creative affects.  Community Manager - PM me for questions |

I think the wall above is interesting Knight but am not convinced that the 2 images at the bottom have to be there. It feels more like they're there to fill up as much as possible. "White space" is your friend, don't fear it. ;)
I'll take Knight's invitation and post a wallpaper I just made. Seeing as how there doesn't seem to be an SC2 one just yet I decided to take a stab at turning my sig into a full-blown Wallpaper. I had to remake all of this as my sig was made using very small images originally (and not meant for a wallpaper.) :P Max res at 1600x1200 simply because that's the max res for the art I found (forced to 1680x).  : S I Z E S : 2560x1600 - 1920x1200 - 1600x1200 Evening guys! After looking at my latest wallpaper, and some of the comments people have mentioned, and as well as from some of my family and friends. This wasn't one of my best wallpapers. I apologize for that and I have since revised the wall a little bit, and hope this version looks a little better. I'll quote a post from Liraco from d3armory.com. " 'White space' is your friend, don't fear it." - Liraco d3armory.com With that I've taken out the extra two images at the bottom, and centered everything up a little better for a much cleaner more streamlined look. Hopefully this time the wallpaper's point will get across better. HK

TONS better. It's more focused and the symbol on the background isn't completely lost like before. Embrace the power of white space. ;)
I hope to see more of your work, maybe next time showing one of the cool Diablo playable characters (and may I suggest... some deviation *gasp* from the standard brown, black, and reds of standard Diablo walls just for kicks?) |

Shoulda seen my wizard walls they were a very dark purple, and were my faves for the fiery runes series two, here lemme grab the link

Quite nice. I had only seen your more recent things and thus the reason for the suggestion.
I'm sorry to say though that no Diablo3 wallpaper will ever beat the "Diablo 3 Rainbow" one, too epic. ;) I'll be looking forward to your next piece. |

 : S I Z E S : 2560x1600 - 1920x1200 - 1600x1200 Hey guys, this week I thought it was time for another Fiery Runes Wallpaper. With the update to the d3 bestiary I thought I'd make a wall for the new mob. Now with this wall I tried so many backdrops for the unburied, and none worked. I did some experiments with the old Des Systema, and managed to create a newer, sharper, cleaner version. Now I'll be able to add my own touches to future walls with it! This wall as you look at it I can tell you I did a lot more experiments. The way the des-systema is on the ground I had wanted to do for a while now. I just didn't have a better version of the alchemy circle 'till now. Also I thought making my fiery runes reflect on the ground was a neat touch giving the Rune, and Alchemy circles more tangibility. Hope people like this, and enjoy my nice new touch to the fiery runes series. I wanted to make this wall more like my own thing with the circles. Now that I have a better alchemy circle please expect better clearer uses of this piece. I have much more fun planned in the future, but this week the wall was perfect. It was everything I had hoped and planned for. Lastly I've updated my wiki page Holyknight3000, and created an article for the weekly wallpaper we enjoy each week: Diii.net - Diablo III Weekly Wallpaper and I plan to update it weekly.
