![]() : S I Z E S : 2560x1600 - 1920x1200 - 1600x1200 Hey guys, sorry this wall is a day later than planned. Since I have a job again it kinda slows down my wallpaper process some, but I'm still adjusting. This week I chose a concept art location art piece. This one is on the Dune Thresher lore page. If you read the lore story about this creature it was around a place called the Tardein Wastes. There was also this concept art in the story. Since no one else has posted about it I thought I'd bring it to light for people. The other location art that looked like a giant whirlpool looking rock formation I still don't know what that is used for yet. I guess we'll find out sometime. Also if you noticed I managed to recover the old bars and add some metal work to them. This metal work I tried to freehand so many types of framework that could continue off the nameplate and add to it. None worked so I used parts from the official d3 logo .tiff file and used some of the fancy metal work from the bottom side. I took away the sun looking design and tweaked the size to match the nameplate. I tried to make this metal work red, but it was way to distracting, and this was the best way to go. Also I decided to play around with the metal work that I had from scratch while making the metalwork. I created a neat design that centered on the sun design I cut out. So I decided to add it as the centerpiece to the top bar for the design. I think it all turned out well. I've wanted to do this metalwork tweak before my hard drive failure. I hope you all like this as I tried to remake my lost locations wallpaper design and added to it and improved some areas I saw that were messed up in the older designs. With that I will see you all next time around. Have a good Easter coming up if you celebrate it. HK

![]() : S I Z E S : 2560x1600 - 1920x1200 - 1600x1200 Good morning, I hope everyone had a good easter. This week I chose to do another Locations wallpaper. This time it was of a region called Aranoch. SCFreelancer posted this concept art here and titled it Aranoch. I did a little research and found out it was a region in the world of Sanctuary by Lut Gholein. Also there was a good chance this art was for that region. This time I tried to give my Fiery Runes a more golden look for this wallpaper. They look rather well. Sadly they look best as the 2560 size. The original golden effect from the larger sizes seemed to lose some of the effect I used for the larger size. I'm unable to fix this so please forgive me if they look rather so-so. Though to be honest I think the runes look better this way without the blurred runes over top of the main runes. I also tried to do some edging graphics for the world map, and take away the highlights for Caldeum and Lut Gholein, and brighten up the spot for Aranoch. Thought it was a neat touch. Also the way the map looks from my view point as the size 1920 is where it looks the best. Let me know what you guys think. Also this next week I'm taking a break from my fiery runes series and making some D3 series wallpapers. I need to rebuild it's nameplate that I lost on the hard drive failure, and the same with my iPhone nameplate. See you all next week! HK

![]() : S I Z E S : 2560x1600 - 1920x1200 - 1600x1200 Hello everyone. I hope you had a good weekend. This week my plan was to restore and remake lost nameplates and files for my Diablo 3 wallpaper series and FRS iPhone series. These have been successful, and I have made and improved on the nameplates these two series already had. This week however I chose to break away from my old Corel Photo Paint 8 and try out some more aspects of Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended. All I can say is the d3 wallpaper nameplate, the side designs to that nameplate I reproduced the same bevel and shade effect I did on CPT8 which I had to build from scratch and spray some colors around. I did the bevel effect after 3 crashes of the program from my annoying computer, with the same look and feel in like one tenth the work needed if we ignore the program crashes. Now with that I decided to use my new tweak of the alchemy in the background. With Photoshop I was able to make it 10x larger with about one hundredth less of the jagged-ness. I was stunned to find the style bevel effect I used made that slightly blurry image a new larger sharper and better alchemy. I think I see somewhat how the blizzard art guys made that alchemy so sharp. After all the Greek/Geek talk I have got everything back and better than before. So expect some more of my works to have some Photoshop elements in them more. Maybe one day I can retire Corel Photo-Paint 8....... nah. Hope this wall looks simple and clean. I may tweak the alchemy on the next wallpaper as I am experimenting with CS3. The next couple weeks I will be posting some of the d3 wallpaper series walls. I am slowly running out of content to use... please blizz give us some more info besides that awesome UI update. I...need...material... Also for those who like my iPhone series this is just for you guys: FRSiP 05 See ya next week! HK

![]() : S I Z E S : 2560x1600 - 1920x1200 - 1600x1200 This week guys I thought about making a wall with Tyrael smashing the worldstone with his sword the Azurewrath; to continue where this wallpaper's story continues from with the invasion. I know I've seen this shot used before many times. I just thought it would look nice with my little touch. Forgive me if the screen cap was blurry, when I took screenshots of the cinematic trailer it only saved it as 1280xSomethin so I didn't have much to work with. With that I'll add this, been busy over the week working on a nameplate design for my concept art wallpaper series. I have 3 beta versions of the nameplate; I'll link 'em below. Beta I - Beta II - Beta III Each image upload has a message on each giving a short description and my thoughs like I always do with my wallpaper art. Please reply with what you think of the nameplate betas. I also have a forum post for it here The D3 Concept Art Series Nameplate if you want to reply there instead. Hope you guys like, and depending on how the D3 Concept Art nameplate is received; you may see another series start again next week. With that I'll see you next week! HK

ROFL FenixForce, finish the SC & BW single player mode. LOL XD @Holyknight: It's ok, you could just use a freeform or oval overlay before you apply blur to the edges of a screencap. This way it looks too much rectangular. Or, alternatively, you could use an overlay frame off Blizzard's official wallpapers. Great work! |

![]() : S I Z E S : 2560x1600 - 1920x1200 - 1600x1200 Good morning all! This week I took a break from working on the Concept Art Series beta to make my next Fiery Runes Series wallpaper. This time I chose the Dune Thresher for the 3rd in the Bestiary sub-series. I tried many ways to get this image made to look right but I just couldn't. I made it the way it looks now and took a break to clear my head. When I came back to it on Saturday I didn't realize how well it turned out. I fixed up the nameplate and finished it on up. The fine details when I cleaned it up were some of the sand being disturbed by the thresher as it sets in the middle of the wall in the sand. I also tried to make the Alchemy look like it was burnt onto the top of the sand this time to make it look a little better in my opinion. I also tried to recolor the runecircle but this wall it just wasn't happening. I tried to use the beautiful runes from the Aranoch wallpaper but the problems I had resizing the effects there happened when I redid the circle. The golden glow just didn't cooperate. So I pulled out the old red rune circle from my old Tyrael wall the second one in the 3rd series, and also took away the shiny glow that the other 2 bestiary wallpapers had for the runes reflecting down onto the ground. It just didn't look as good on the sand texture so I did a softer broader glow that looked better. I hope you all will enjoy this wall this week. I'm going to continue my work on the Concept Art Series wallpaper now. The nameplate's almost set now for the rest of the base design. Also look for the next iPhone wallpaper this Wednesday; last week I was too busy at work and missed my chance to get it out. See you all next week! HK

![]() : S I Z E S : 2560x1600 - 1920x1200 - 1600x1200 Hey guys, sorry this one is being posted a few hours later than planned. I've had a very busy week this week and wasn't able to complete my next fiery runes wallpaper, so I'll complete it and share it with you all next week. Then I can work more on the concept art wall. This week I planned the Tristram Monastery for the d3 wallpaper series. I know it's been over used in some aspects but I thought the screen cap was nice. I also improved the color a bit and made it not seem so washed out. I also improved how the alchemy was placed in the 1920x1200 wallpaper. That bothered me on the last wallpaper and I wasn't able to fix it then so I fixed it this week. Hope you all like this nice simple wallpaper with a nice shot of Leah standing outside of the monastery as Tyrael starts to come towards the place in a fiery blaze. I will see you all next week for the next Fiery Runes wallpaper. I'm thinking something dealing with the Triune guys. Maybe an Acolyte or a Summoner, we shall see! See ya soon! HK

![]() Here's smaller links: 09 - Caldeum Good afternoon all; this Wednesday I fixed up the first and the standard for the future locations wallpapers in the iPhone series. This week though I decided to slow down and not get to far ahead of myself like I did with the first Fiery Runes Series. Today we start the locations off with Caldeum just like in FRS2, but this time with better alchemy and better runes and a slightly modified look with the map faded behind the alchemy. I hope it looks nice. The Caldeum artwork I hope doesn't look too blurry as I did a no-no and cut it out and blew it up instead of what I normally do. But I did use the sharpening tool and I think it came out well. Let me know what you think. I'm going to set up the rest of the series and you'll see 'em each Wednesday as planned. See you all next time' and look for Monday as another Fiery Runes wallpaper is coming' hopefully with no issues or slow downs from work. See ya soon! HK
